Last preparation!!!

1) Please remember to bring ALL of the "need to bring" stuffs if you prefer to have a more comfortable camping life =D

2) Do check the "what to bring" stuff. It was updated it few minutes ago.

MESSAGE 2 - To those that has not paid
1) Meet at chapter before 7am to pay up. If you arrive at chapter AFTER 7am (and you still want to go for camp), it is requested that you call 012 926 9606 (Clement) for directions TO THE CAMP.

Kem Lagong 2 Details

Camp Location - Gunung Nuang, Ulu Langat

Camp date - 18th,19th and 20th December 2009

Target participants - Form fives of year 2009. However, others are welcomed (younger/older) as well.

Fees -
RM50

Closing date -
15th December 2009 (Late entries will not be entertained unless have specific reason)

Meet at Chapter PJ by
6.45am on the 18th of December 2009. Please be on time .We will not be bothered with late comers on that day. Those that misses the bus will have to get there on their own.

LOTS of activity awaits you all. It will be fun and memorable. Do join us in Kem Lagong 2. We know we can make your holidays interesting =).

We only have one purpose for this camp. And that is to revive the spirit of MRC for the 2009 graduates.

Procedure for handing up forms and money

1. Get a representative for your school or your gang of friends.
2. Submit all consent forms and money to the selected representatives. For example, Chin Hoong is the representative for S.M.K. Taman Hoong. All participants from S.M.K. Taman Hoong are to hand in their consent forms and money to Chin Hoong.

3. Representative from each school are to
CALL either Clement or See Wah (numbers can be gotten from the inquiries section) and meet up to submit their documents and money. Clement or Jasmyn will assign a certified VAD to attend to you.

4.
SAFETY PRECAUTION - To ensure that you do not hand up the money and documents to the wrong person, it is requested that the representative of each school to remember to ask for collectors VAD ID.

5. After the transaction has been completed, the VAD that attend to you will give u a
receipt with his/her signature on it. Please bring the receipt with you to camp as you will be needing it for registration.

6. Once all these are done, everything has been completed. All you need now is to sit back, relax and wait for the 18th of December to come.

FAQ section

1) 50BUX??? Are you robbing the hell outta me???? %^$%&$%@#$%# you..!!!!
I'm sorry, I do not understand %^$%&$%@#$%#. And no, we are not robbing you. After calculating the total expenses, we find RM50 a pretty fair deal to all our participants.

2) You sure? What are you doing with my 50bux then?
Yes we are sure. Here's what we're doing with your 50bux.
- Campsite rental
- Equipment rental
- Food ( I am sorry for not being able to grow the required food in me or any of my member's house. We hope you can all understand that we are forced to buy it)
- Bus fare (I wish I could scrape the bus fare, but I can't. Maybe I can in other future camps when the sky starts raining petrol^^).
- First aid materials (things that you can find in the first aid kit).
Still think it's expensive? I think not.

3) How do i hand up the money and consent form? This is not a small sum buddy...

4) Can the date be changed? It's near Christmas/ My mom's birthday is on one of the days/ i'm sick on that day/ No feng shui la the date.
We are sorry to say that the date cannot be changed as the only available date for the campsite is from the 18th to the 20th of December. If there are any changes with the date, it will be updated onto this blog. We hope you could forgive us for rejecting the reasons (such as the ones above) you have given us.

5) It is requested that you all (VAD 109) send a letter to our school to inform our school about this camp. Can this be done?
First things first. This is not a Belia camp. This is a VAD camp organized by us VAD 109 for you all. We did not and do not send any formal letters to schools requesting the school to send you participants to join the camp. The participants that joins this camp will be on their own. Responsibility however will be held by us, not by the school.

6) In that case, can my juniors (the form 3s and form 4s of year 2009) join the camp?
Our main purpose for this camp is to revive the spirit of MRC for the 2009 graduates. However, if your junior wishes to join, they will have to speak to their President. Please call us for more info regarding this matter. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

8) I have asthma/ I'm sick/ lost an arm/ have three eyes/ connected to my twin (siamese twins). Am I allowed to go to the camp? Is it tough?

Whatever the reason you have, if you think you can walk uphill without any serious problems, then you are ok. Otherwise (such as you have lost an arm or having major breathing difficulties), I suggest you get a doctor's consent before joining us.

9) Which of the forms/letters should I download?
The Formal Letter is a must-download for ALL participants. The VAD Consent Form is ONLY for current VAD members whereas the Outsider Consent Form is for NON VAD members (this include secondary students, working adults and free loaders who just want some action).

10) What to bring and not to bring for camp?
TO BRING
- Tents ( Try borrowing from your school if possible )
- Sleeping bag
- First aid kit ( Triangular bandage is a must )
- Toiletries ( Toilet papers especially )
- T-shirt ( Black for the day and white for the night. Bring enough for 3 days 2 night )
- Water for 3 days 2 night.
- Track bottom.
- 2 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of slippers. ( don't forget socks )
- RCS t-shirt
- Flash light (trust me, you do NOT want to forget this)
- Whistle, stationaries and plastic bags
- Small shovel if you have one, if not, it's ok. ( Why? Ask us in camp to find out =D )
- Mosquito repellent ( Don't ask why ).
- "Camping-eating" utensils (mess cans etc)
- Scout rope/strings <--- Recent update
- Camera =D <--- Recent update & optional

NOT TO BRING
- Food
- A lot of money
- Electronic gadgets such as Ipods, laptops, radio, walkie talkies etc (Note, your hand phones are allowed, but we do not hold any responsibilities for the lost of it).
- Short pants
- Cigarettes, lighter, DRUGS ESPECIALLY.
